04/29/2005: Magic Number Watch
According to my partner in crime Rob at the Birdwatch, the Cardinals' magic number to win the NL Central this season is 139, and the Cards are on pace for a record of 113-49. Ah, early season "on pace fors" are so wonderful; unfortunately the Redbirds won't keep up that furious pace for the entire season, but it's fun to dream.
