04/12/2005: Cognitive dissonance....
I don't really expect anyone to actually buy things for me from it... I just use my Amazon wish list as a way of listing (for myself) things (books, CDs and DVDs, mostly) that might want to buy later.
But for those people who (I assume) maintain wish lists in order so that their friends and family can clue themselves in as to what they want as a gift without having to ask the prospective recipient what they want.... Why does Amazon's "priority" indicator have a "Don't buy this for me" rating? If you don't want it, wouldn't you NOT put it on your freaking wish list?
