03/17/2005: Great Days in History....
I don't normally take notice of St. Patrick's Day (other than to sing "Deutschland über alles" to anyone who forces me to notice it), but it's been brought to my attention that today is supposedly the 249th observance of the holiday in the U.S. If my sources are correct, the first St. Patrick's Day celebration in the U.S. was in New York on this day in 1756.
Something to think about if you insist on participating in amateur night tonight.
