03/10/2005: Well, it seems to have happened again.....
Understand that I like Karen, or I never would have invited her to join the merry band here. But if this happens one more time I'm going to dread these early morning phone calls. I suppose it's just a talent she has to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, when the system decides to crash and eat all our posts....
The short story (because I've already wasted too damn much time trying to fix the problem, and I don't have any spare time this time of year...) Greymatter crashed again (and there seemed to be permission problems again with the Greymatter files), and there's no easy fix and I don't have the time to attempt a hard fix. So once again we've reinstalled (and there's a new bugfix release, so this isn't all that bad a time to reinstall....Hmmmmmm, I wonder if this is one of the bugs that was fixed) and began from scratch, sorta.
This time around, I've pointed the new entries into a new directory, and kept the pointers to the old directory. So this time around, permalinks to the Feburary-March '05 entries should remain live.
However, I'll take suggestions for a more reliable blog maintenance software through the backchannel.
