02/03/2005: Hilarious....
By way of explanation, I am, unlike my partner in crime here, Karen, a
disloyal alumnus of the Northwestern University School of Law. The years
I spent there were the worst three of my life (which, no doubt, poisons
my attitude towards the great city of Chicagah), and if I could I'd give
back my J.D. (eagerly) if I could disavow any connection with the school.
Therefore, imagine how tickled I was to stumble across this
(.pdf file; Adobe Acrobat Reader required) over at The
Leiter Reports. It's good to see that there are Northwestern law students
who haven't been assimilated into the collective.
Basically, this appears to be a newsletter item detailing the intentions
of Northwestern Law Dean David VanZandt, intoxicated with the success of
his New Strategic Plan to push Northwestern Law School into the top ten
in the U.S. News and World Reports law school rankings, to implement
a Newer, More Strategic Plan, which has as its goal to push Northwestern's
ranking into the USNAWR top 5.
Here's a graph detailing a critical part of Dean VanZandt's plan:
Of course, that's an important factor in determining a law school's U.S. News ranking. But I think that most Northwestern law students and alums are going to really get behind the new law school logo:
"Go U, Northwestern!"

You knew this one was going to be TOO GOOD to pass up a comment on...Alright then:
First, While I may concede to a certain amount of "criminal partnership" at blogging...I could HARDLY be accused of having any leaning towards participating in any Goals related to "penile" lengths and standards...now could I?
Secondly...as our two years of Law school are not represented on this chart...who's to say the years of 1982 and 1989, respectively weren't the most "Stud-ly, well filled out years" ever not-recorded at NULS for such male appendages? (And which male students would cop to that "law school admission" of under-sizage anyway?)
Finally...I can't quite 'wrap my mind' around the "measuring up" procedures...guaranteed to shrivel the proportions of most of the men I know. Kinda skews the data, Eh? LOL

I don't know about the class of '89; I can testify that the class of '82 was the most un-studly ever to grace those hallowed halls up to that time.
After all, they let *me* in, didn't they?
