Via ESPN, former Cardinals outfielder Andy Van Slyke, on present Cardinals third baseman Scott Rolen:
We have genetic engineering now, if I could genetically engineer a baseball player, I would genetically engineer Scott Rolen in every way.

That sounds like "code" for something sexual. Man, I used to hate Van Slyke.

Damn if it doesn't sound "suggestive".
On the other hand, assuming that outfield talent and middle infield talent is fungible (it probably isn't, but let's not taint this discussion by invoking irrelevancies like "truth", now) I'd clone two more Jim Edmonds for our outfield (one to replace Sanders, and another to spell Larry Walker in right), and abduct Renteria briefly to get the genetic material to clone him for the middle infield. And then wouldn't we be the team to beat? Can anyone say "162-0"?
