01/25/2005: I've got a friend in you...or not...
Andrew Sullivan may want to retract his premature "thank you Mr. President" comment over the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) concerning the President's views of supposed "tolerence" towards gay people: Richard Cohen had a must read article about the treatment of gay liguist in the military. (They were fired.)
Apparently Mr. Sullivan keeps barking up that wrong conservative tree if he really expects some respect or even tolerance for the gay community from this bunch of conservatives.
He probably thinks I'm wrong...but these kinds of issues say more about how "correct" my opinions may be and what's wrong with the "big-tent" fakery of this GOP party...even if Dick Cheney's daughter is part of the gay community...since despite the current legal success of the DOMA, Sen. Wayne Allard just re-introduced the Marriage Protection Amendment in the U.S. Senate.
