01/20/2005: Pointless gestures department.....
Today on Air America's Morning Sedition it's "Ignore-uration" day. As Mark (Riley) and Marc (Maron) never seem to tire of telling us, they're not mentioning The Coronation of King George today.
Save, ironically (and paradoxically), by telling us they're not mentioning it, aren't they mentioning it?
Today is also (or so I'm told), "Not One Damn Dime Day", today. The idea being that those of us who didn't vote for Dumbya can show our solidarity (and apparently, deliver a slight kick in the nuts to the economy) by not spending any money today.
For the record, I'm not spending a damn dime today, but that has nothing to do with protesting the coronation. I just simply find that this month, like most months, that there's too damn much month left at the end of my money.
