01/06/2005: 100 years in this inertial frame of reference
Robert Prather at Signifying Nothing notes that 2005 marks the one hundredth anniversary of the publication by Albert Einstein of the papers that would introduce the world to the special theory of relativity.
I'll add that Einstein's book Relativity: The Special and the General Theory really does live up to its subtitle, "A Clear Explanation That Anyone Can Understand." (Anyone with a good grasp of algebra, I'll add.)

Einstein was a bigger genius than we think if *1905* is the 100th anniversary, Brock.
BTW, "markes?" Someone short on his morning caffeine? ;-) (I know, I should talk. My big post on Dan Finney managed to get two people's names wrong.)

Thanks for pointing out the typos, Mike.
I'm zonked out of my head on cold medicine today.
