01/01/2005: New Year, new title, and some changes....
All is in flux.
--Heraclitus
Happy New Year, 2005, everyone!
The traditional first bite of herring's long since slid down my gullet. And I'm looking at some changes here at the homestead.
First and foremost, I'm happy to welcome a co-blogger aboard. Fellow Memphian, fellow techno-geek, and fellow philosophy geek Brock Sides will be joining me here--hence, among other things, the change in blog title; there are now two philosophical scriveners voicing their opinions here. I'm going to let Brock introduce himself in good time, but his coming aboard will coincide with a number of changes. Hopefully, more regular content on a more regular basis. We'll let those plans unfold for now, though....
In addition to adding a partner in crime here, I'm pleased to announce my association with The Birdwatch, a group blog devoted to baseball in general and the St. Louis Cardinals in particular. Hopefully, it'll be a good year for Birdwatching, and while we can never fill the void left in the baseball blogosphere with the retirement of Brian Gunn at Redbird Nation, we're hoping to add more signal than noise to the discussion of baseball (and in particular, Cardinals Baseball) in the blogosphere. Wish us luck, and more importantly, come read some of what our talented group of bloggers have to say.
And as 2005 unfolds, I hope that we'll be seeing more improvements around here. And most importantly, I hope that our readership will have a prosperous New Year to come.

I'm looking forward to it. We're planning on some more regular features, and, in addition to my drivel there should be some intelligent content on here occasionally, too.
