12/28/2004: Happy Birthday!
Via Brock Sides at Signifying Nothing, we learn that today is the birthday of Linus Torvalds, pioneer of the Linux operating system. [For the record, I'll note that the computer I'm doing this entry on is running Linux, namely Mandrake 10.0, and the 2.6.3 kernel, so I owe Linus some thanks myself.]
