11/24/2004: Thought for the Day:
The Yankees are going after lefthanded reliever Steve Kline, an understandable move given how awful Felix Heredia was in 2004. But in a clubhouse that gets progressively worse each year, the Yankees had best do a background check on Kline.
Did you know that during one game this past year, Kline waved a middle finger at his manager, Tony La Russa? La Russa committed the sin of having Kline warm up in the bullpen and then deciding not to use him.
We'd love to see Kline in pinstripes, just to see the Joe Torre death stare if Kline ever attempted to show him up.

Yeah, Kline would ruin the carefully concocted clubhouse dynamic that Gary Sheffield and Kevin Brown have worked so hard to establish.
