I'm sure you were all waiting with baited breath for the day that Specs Smith, whose crowning major league achievement was being the guy before Jason Simontacchi who filled a spot in the slapdash 2002 Cardinals rotation, signed on to be the ace of somebody's AAA team. Well, wait no more: he signed a minor league deal with Florida.
Man, it's a slow news day.
