11/10/2004: There is no joy in Mudville....
Brian Gunn at Redbird Nation has announced that he's hanging up his cleats, and closing down the blog. We appreciate the amount of time and effort he's taken in producing what is undoubtedly the best Cardinals commentary on the Web. Redbird Nation is (at least up to today) the first Website I check everyday, and I'm sure old habits will die hard.
First the World Series loss. Then the election. Now this. There's a Calvin and Hobbes strip where Hobbes asks Calvin if he believes in God. Calvin replies, "I'm not sure, but somebody's out to get me."
That's exactly how I feel right now.
2004 would have been a damn good season without Redbird Nation; with it, it was perfect. It will be missed.
