10/20/2004: YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jimmy Edmonds hasn't had the greatest of series this NLCS, but he came through when it counted. A walk off home run to win Game 6. It's going to seven games.
And the last time that happened (a walk off homer in the last half of the last inning to win an NLCS game for the St. Louis Cardinals), it was Ozzie Smith, and Jack Buck gave us what was probably the most famous home run call of his legendary career:
Go crazy folks! Go crazy!
Which means I have to break this one out:
I was just trying to hit a line drive. I guess I made a mistake.

I had a feeling. It was one of those occasional gut feelings I get about things.

I told you to believe. Sox and Cards baby. I'm watching the Sox blow an 8-1 lead to the Yanks. But it's all good, they'll shake it and end up in the Series.
And yes, facing Clemens is NOT good for the Cards, can't deny that but Clemens is human, did you see the All-Star game?

oh, and yes. I'm just giving you some good-natured ribbing on that "cubs" statement. I know that there's a WORLD of difference between a Cubs fan and everyone else. Glad you took that in stride. ;o)

I think I've replayed that Edmonds HR 20 times by now.
