10/18/2004: We've lost....
It'll be a Astros-Yankees Series. I'm betting Garner concedes the game Wednesday, and brings in Clemens on full rest in Game 7 to euthanize us. Oh well, it was a wonderful season while it lasted.
Let's just hope Clemens can stick it to Steinbrenner.

I am in "Expect the worst and be pleasantly surprised" mode.
But the serious analysis is in the post I quoted yesterday: Munro pitches for the Astros tomorrow, allowing Clemens to pitch in Game 7 (if necessary, and it may not be) on regular rest, which is *not* what I wanted to see happening (since Clemens has been pitching very well against the Cards).
The "if necessary" being the kicker: Matt Morris is slated to start Geme 6 for the Cardinals. If the Bad Matt Morris shows up (Morris has been spectacularly inconsistent this season), he could get shelled for 8 runs in the first, and that game could be over before it starts.
Miracles might happen, but since I'm an atheist I'm not allowed to rely on them. :-)
