10/13/2004: Do we really want to be known by the company we keep?
Today's St. Louis Post-Dispatch had a story about the Missouri case in front of the U.S. Supreme Court today. The issue in that case is the constitutionality of executing a convict who was 17 years old at the time he committed the offense. What struck me was this paragraph:
Juvenile offenders have been executed in just a few other countries, including Iran, Pakistan, China and Saudi Arabia.Yep, there's a group of sterling, shining liberal democracies that we should be proud to emulate.
