10/12/2004: Krugman gets it
He's a phone-in guest on The Al Franken Show, and he's got an excellent take on Bush's spin on the economy. According to Krugman, Bush talks up the economic figures like he's a student who got an F on the midterm and a D on his final, but is trying to convince his professor to pass him because, after all, he is improving.
Sorry George, if I am your prof, your worthless ass fails. In fact, here's my take on your performance:
Student: Professor, I really don't believe I deserve this "F" you gave me.
Professor: Neither do I. Unfortunately, it is the lowest grade the university permits me to award.
