The Cardinals, after Jason Isringhausen blew the save opportunity in the top of the 9th, managed to squeak out a run as Albert "the Great" Pujols scored on a Jim Edmonds RBI double to give the Cards the 4-3 win. Interestingly, Izzy picks up both a blown save and a win for his record.
And in unimportant baseball trivia, Barry "he doesn't live on this planet; he only comes here for batting practice and games" Bonds managed to hit homer #700 tonight. Maybe things can return to normal for a day or two now?
