09/15/2004: I hate this....
ESPN's showing us the Cards-Astros game tonight (Matt Morris is pitching a home game at night.... so far it's looking like the Good Matty Mo is appearing, but it's early yet), and ESPN's told us that we will be seeing every Barry Bonds at bat tonight (Bonds could hit homer #700 tonight).
Y'know, some of us don't mind seeing #700 on tape delay. Keep me on the Cardinals game, dammit!
UPDATE: Spoke too soon, maybe. Morris just gave up Yet Another Home Run (Surprised? No, me neither) in the top of the second with no outs. Oh well; it's only 2-0. Not any reason to panic. Yet.
UPDATE II: What'd I say? Jim Edmonds just blasted a leadoff solo homer in the bottom of the second to make it 2-1. And the Cards have been eating up close games this season. It's far from over....
