08/26/2004: Leave it to a damn foreigner....
to cut right to the chase. Over at Resonance, Manish "The Damn Foreigner" has this comment about Bush's "Olympics" ad (the one to which the Iraqi soccer players have objected):
In 1972 there were 40 democracies in the world, today 120For those of you who need a hint: have Iraq and Afghanistan had actual, you know, elections yet?
And GWB had what to do with this? The number of new democracies (only counting the ones that have had actual, you know, elections) is the exact same as when GWB came into power as far as I know.

Good question. I know what answer I'd give, and I doubt that it's the same one Dubya would give.
