08/24/2004: Good thing he's not listening....
Tonight is "Time Warner Tuesday", which means that the Memphis Redbirds are playing at home, and TV Time Warner here is carrying the game on cable. Tom Stocker and Charlie Lea are doing the play by play right now, and Kiko Calero, on a rehab assignment from St. Louis, is starting for the Redbirds.
Charlie Lea, noting that since Calero is on a rehab assignment, is trying to stress that Calero shoudn't worry about his stats. Quoth Charlie: "From the point of view of the Cardinals, Calero should be in no rush. The Cardinals are set to enter the postseason, they're playing great baseball, and they're doing it without him."
That would just have to make Kiko feel good about himself if he were in a position to hear it....
