Maybe that's why we signed Reggie Sanders?
For the second time in about 30 hours I've heard a commentator mention (in Josh Lewin's nice turn of phrase yesterday) Reggie Sanders's "Forrest Gump-like" ability to be in on some great baseball moments, including two World Series teams in the last four years (Sanders was a member of the 2001 World Champion D'backs, and the 2002 NL Champion Giants).
Maybe Walt thought he'd exercise that talent to be around for another World Series?
