Still a D'back.
However, Lee Sinins's transactions oriented newsletter is reporting a potential trade for Johnson, a three way deal in which none of the teams involved are the Yankees (ok, if you insist on knowing, the three teams involved are Arizona (of course), LA and Anaheim). However, there are indications that this deal might be for Steve Finley vice Randy Johnson, though it could be expanded to include Johnson. If Johnson is included in the deal, there's no indication what California team he'd go to.
Frankly, if Johnson is traded I don't particularly care what team he's going to (the odds that it might be the Cardinals are getting pretty slim, and it sounds like everyone I read regularly is pretty happy with the team as it is), but it's going to be SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wonderful to hear the howls of anguish if he goes anywhere but the Yankees that the wailing (particularly from the New York press) will certainly be wonderful to behold.
