07/19/2004: The best revenge....
I have the Cards-Cubs game on tonight (via the Fox Sports Midwest feed), and Jim Edmonds, after being hit by a pitch on his first at bat by Cubs pitcher Carlos Zambrano, responded in his second at back by whacking one (looked like a hanging change to me) completely out of Wrigley Field.
Could be a good development, as both pitcher Zambrano and his catcher tried to exchange words with Edmonds (who, near as I can tell did nothing to provoke such a reaction). That means that we've managed to get under his skin; that could work to our advantage now.
Time will tell.

Amazing game. And until the final double play I was scared we were going to blow it....
And the grand thing about a game at Wrigley is that it pretty much always rocks. There's something about Cubs fans in that regard... even when the team sucks (which it doesn't this year, for sure) the fans are always into it.
