Nearly two-thirds of Americans are confident that they are going to heaven, with only one half of one percent saying they'll end up in the fiery place, according to a national poll by the Barna Research Group of Oxnard, California. Even more interesting was the group's finding that one in ten born-again Christians believes in reincarnation, and 33 percent believe it's possible to communicate with the dead. (Both are Christian heresies.) Among the atheists and agnostics, 50 percent believe that everyone has a soul, that heaven and hell exist, and that there's life after death, which would seem to destroy the whole purpose of BEING an atheist or agnostic. Somebody needs to beat the hell out of them.
