Just heard on Air America news radio news that Vice President Dick Cheney was at yesterday's Red Sox-Yankees game. While the crowd was singing (or at least humming off key, if my experience is any guide) "God Bless America" during the seventh inning stretch, the jumbotron showed Vice President Dick Cheney's face. The crowd, on seeing Cheney on the jumbotron, stopped singing and started booing, and the Yankees quickly pulled the image from the screen.

I'll be thinking "I love New York" all afternoon now....

Just in case you're one of those readers who takes Air America news as seriously as I take a Jack Chick tract, the New York Times confirms the story:

During the singing of "God Bless America" in the seventh inning, an image of Cheney was shown on the scoreboard. It was greeted with booing, so the Yankees quickly removed the image.
