06/13/2004: Important days in history department
Today is the 38th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court decision in Miranda v. Arizona the decision which ultimately caused every fan of American made TV police shows to memorize the lines: "You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to speak to an attorney, and to have an attorney present during any questioning. If you want an attorney but cannot afford one, one will be provided for you."
