Turnabout is fair play, and when life gives you lemons, make lemonade.
According to Taegan Goddard's Political Wire, some 'netizens who aren't exactly wild about John Kerry successfully Google bombed Kerry, making Kerry's campaign website come up as the number 1 result to the search term "waffles" (why is turnabout fair play? Google for "miserable failure" if you can't remember).
Attempting to make the best of the situation, the Kerry campaign is reported to have purchased a Google Ad Words sponsored link, so that when one Googles "waffles" a Kerry ad will come up which also links to the Kerry campaign website, but the ad invites the reader to "read about President Bush's waffles". (Last I checked, though, the Kerry sponsored link hasn't come up yet.)
