05/17/2004: This Day In History Department:
Of course, you've probably heard by now that today is the 50th anniversary of the Brown v. Board of Education decision.
The Good News: racial segregation is no longer the law of the land.
The Bad News: the U.S. is still functionally a segregated country.
In 50 years we've come a long way, but there's still a way to go.
