05/16/2004: I just arose from....
a mid-afternoon nap (a favorite Sunday activity around Chez Len) and discovered a strange meteorological phenomenon taking place. For a brief period (perhaps seconds), there was a break in the grey, fairly low lying ceiling that we seem to have here in Memphis, and in space far beyond that break there appeared a glowing, fiery ball in the sky.
Fortunately, the dog needs her afternoon walk now. This phenomenon bears further investigation.
