of the Curse of the Billy Goat lead me to this website: The Chicago Bar Project. The only thing that's depressing about this site is the truly small number of bars listed here that I actually went to (OTOH, an argument in mitigation is that a large number of the bars here seem to have opened in the time since I graduated from Northwestern and left Chicago). A couple interesting "non-bar" pages on this site are worth a look: Twenty events which have occurred since the Chicago Cubs won their last World Series (my favorite: "Flag poles were erected on Wrigley Field roof to hold all of the team's future World Series pennants, which have since rusted and been taken down"), and Top Ten Lies Told at Wrigley Field (my favorite: "Wait till next millennium").
